TNA Hardcore Justice PPV Results

These are the results for the TNA Hardcore Justice PPV:

  • The FBI defeated Kid Kash, Johnny Swinger, Simon Diamond
  • Too Cool Scorpio defeated CW Anderson
  • Stevie Richards (w/ Nova & the Blue Meanie) defeated P.J. Polaco (formaly known as Justin Credible)
  • Rhino defeated Brother Runt & Al Snow
  • Team 3D w/ Joel Gertner defeated Axl Rotten and Kahoneys (formally known as Balls Mahoney)
  • Raven (Mick Foley as guest referee) defeated Tommy Dreamer
  • Rob Van Dam defeated Sabu

Notes: The crowd started out strong chanting “Guido” for the FBI.

The FBI vs. Kid Kash, Johnny Swinger, Simon Diamond

All I could think was “What the hell?” Simon Diamond interrupted the match by announcing that there was going to be an Extreme Dance off. It was terrible to see old men attempting to dance. Diamond and Swinger cleared the ring and started to brawl outside the ring after the dance off. They came back into the ring to continue the match. Kid Kash nailed Tony Mamaluke with double underhook suplex, then a piledriver. Guido fought back and threw Kash out. He nailed Diamond with the impaler and pinned him for a win for the FBI.

Finally…enough with the dance off.

CW Anderson vs. Too Cool Scorpio

Scorpio came out dancing to a hot theme song. Scorpio offered Anderson his hand, but Anderson refused and spit on it. Scorpio hit a nice dropkick that knocked Anderson out of the ring. CW got back into the ring and was nailed with a cross body block. CW fought back with a superkick. He went for the pin, but instead got a two count. He started stomping on Scorpio, then threw him into the turnbuckle. Anderson countered with a big punch.

Scorpio kicked Anderson in the head and then followed up with a 450 splash from the second rope. He went for the pin, but got a two count. He went for the moonsault, but CW lifted his knees up to cause Scorpio some damage. Anderson went for the pin but only got two count. Scorpio got up and superkicked CW. He hit a modified moonsault and got the three count.

This was a great match and I happy to see smooth Too Cool Scorpio. I love that theme song that he came out to.

P.J. Polaco (the former Justin Credible) vs. Stevie Richards (w/ Nova & the Blue Meanie)
Both men went back and forth with chops to the chest. Richards threw PJ into the corner steel post. The both went out of the ring. PJ suplexed Richards on the outside of the ring. They went back inside the ring.
PJ to take his advantage over Richards with a DDT. Richards countered with some punches. PJ hit Richards with a spinning tombstone. Ricahrds countered Richards with a superkick and then got the full three count.

Brother Runt vs. Al Snow vs. Rhino

Rhino charged at Brother Runt, but Runt sidestepped out of the way. Rhino flew outside the ring. Runt came off the top rope onto Al Snow and Rhino. Everyone got back into the ring. Snow headbutted Rhino to the chest and then attempted a moonsault off of the top rope. Rhino suplexed Al Snow. Then, Runt nailed Snow with a double stomp from the top rope. He was tossed outside the ring.
Snow was about to hit Runt with head, but Runt nailed Snow with his RKO. Rhino nailed Runt with a gore and pinned him for the win.

Team 3D w/ Joel Gertner defeated Axl Rotten and Kahoneys (formally known as Balls Mahoney)

This match went all over the place. They went outside the ring brawling about and then landed inside the ring. Bubba grabbed some weapons from under the ring. Kahoneys fought with Bubba with some punches. He was then attacked with a frying pan from Bubba. Axl nailed Bubba over the head with a cooking sheet. Axl and Bubbha exchanged blows… with light sabers. Did we just go back to 12th grade?

All four men grabbed chairs, and had a chair brawl for all. Axl and Kahoneys gained the advantage over Team 3D and then turned their attention to the ref. Devon recovered and brought in a table inside the ring. Bubba got some lighter fluid. They lit the table on fire and powerbombed Axl through the flaming table.

Wow. Good match.

Tommy Dreamer vs. Raven (Mick Foley as guest referee)

Raven defeated Tommy Dreamer in a violent match. Beulah was there to support her husband and joined in on the activities. However, it wasn’t enough. Raven applied the DDT and won the match. The barbed wire was put out to place around Raven’s head. Enter Blue Meanie to save the day and stomp on Dreamer. He went up to the top rope for the big gut splash. Dreamer hit the double DDT and then the neckbreaker. Foley got involved by punching up Raven. Tsk. Tsk. That’s not what you’re supposed to so Foley.
Mick got out Mr. Socko and jammed it down Raven’s throat. Hmmm…I thought he wasn’t supposed to use that.

Rob Van Dam vs. Sabu

Rob Van Dam and Sabu presented a good match. The match lasted about twenty minutes. Tables and chairs were involved, but it wasn’t enough to save this PPV. Fonzie assisted RVD by holding a chair up to Sabu’s face. RVD hit a flying kick strike and then a split-legged moonsault. Sabu countered with a swinging DDT. He tried to follow that up with a surfboard leg drop, but RVD was able to move out of the way. Sabu crashed into the table that was set up in the ring. Eventually, RVD hit the five star frog splash and won the match.

Afterward, all the ECW talent came out for a celebration. Bubbha had Dixie Carter carried in his arms. She was sporting a beer.

Overall: I wasn’t fond of this PPV. There were some good matches. It bothers me that this PPV has done nothing for TNA. It makes no sense. Don’t get me wrong. I wasn’t watching this PPV to see the old ECW. I knew this wasn’t going to be the same. However, I expected to be entertained. TNA didn’t deliver.

WWE Smackdown Results 06.11.10

These are the results from June 11th episode of WWE Friday Night Smackdown:

  • Rey Mysterio defeated Jack Swagger (c)
  • Layla (c) defeated Tiffany (w/ Kelly Kelly)
  • Christian defeated Dolph Ziggler (w/ Vickie Guerrero)
  • Big Show defeated CM Punk (via disqualification)

Notes: Rey Mysterio started off Smackdown by speaking of his win last week in the battle royale. He expressed how sorry he was about The Undertaker’s situation, but that he would be taking advantage by winning the World Heavyweight champion. Jack Swagger came out to interrupt Rey and accusing him of only being capable of being in the fatal four way because of The Undertaker’s absence.  Swagger had said that while Rey was relaxing in Tijuana, he was learning the art of wrestling. He was destined to become World Heavyweight Champion.  Rey responded that what Swagger had said was stupid and continued to make fun of his speech impediment by imitating Sylvester the cat. “Sufferin’ succotash!” CM Punk came out along with the Straight Edge Society. He compared himself to Malcolm X and JFK  and called the attack on John Cena and himself as an assassination. Rey pushed the fact that Punk has lost to him many times and even has a shaved head. Punk denied having a shaved head as he hid under his mask. The Big Show to to talk about bald being beautiful…*sigh* boring. Kane appeared on the titan tron to complain about The Undertakers absence. This segment started off ok, but it went down hill fast.

Rey Mysterio defeated Jack Swagger (c)

Rey Mysterio got a clean win over Jack Swagger as he was able to get three 619’s in a row and pinned him with a full three count. Really?! Isn’t Swagger the World Heavyweight Champion. Why does he keep losing to Rey?

The WWE airs most of the NXT Rookie invasion video package. I really do think that it would serve them better to air a better edited version of the package. However, I do enjoy watching Bryan Danielson yelling at John Cena. “You are not better than me!!!”

Christian defeated Dolph Ziggler (w/ Vickie Guerrero)

Christian was about to get the kill switch engage, but Ziggler counters with the sleeper hold. Christian breaks free. Ziggler pushes him into the corner and tries to roll him up. Christian rolls up Ziggler and wins the match. Kurt Hawkings and Vance Archer attacks Christian from behind and then allowing Ziggler to come from behind and apply the sleeper hold. This was a pretty entertaining match. Ziggler received support from his girlfriend, Vickie Guerrero. She hollered at the ref through out the match at ringside. After the match, she ran up to Ziggler to give him a big hug.

Drew McIntyre called Teddy Long to the ring to address some of grievances. He complained about Matt Hardy showing up to Monday Night Raw. So, McIntyre announced that Hardy was banned from Raw, as well. Kofi Kingston interrupted McIntyre’s list of complaints to address some of his own. Kingston said that he was the opposite of McIntyre in that he earns his Intercontinental title like a man. Ooooo! Kofi punches McIntyre with mic in hand.

Big Show defeated CM Punk (via disqualification)

CM Punk had difficulty trying to get the Big Show down. All he could do in the beginning was to kick at Show’s legs. The match then became heated between the two. Kane interrupted the match to deal out some punishment to both Big show and Punk. Smackdown ends with Kane standing in the middle of the ring with mean face.
