Lethal Lockdown Advantage Steel Cage Match
Rob Van Dam vs. James Storm of Beer Money, Inc.

RVD made an early attack on James Storm by slamming the cage door on his face. They fought outside the cage. RVD climbed up ont he side of the cage and did a leg drop on a beaten Storm. RVD slams storms head on the steel steps. Storm turns it around and slams his head on the steel steps. They finally get into the steel cage and the bell rings. RVD’s forehead is already busted open. The crowd is chanting RVD. He is dominating over James Storm. He throws a few punches. He gets on top of the top rope and kicks Storm. He corners storm once more to throw a few punches. Storm makes a come back with a neck breaker. He applies the sleeper hold on RVD. Van Dam tries to make a comeback and breaks free of the sleeper hold. Storm clothslines him. Storm scratches his nails on RVD’s wound. James Storm and RVD exchange punches. RVD clothslines Storm. He gets on top ofthe corner rope and performs a moonsalt. He goes for the pin and Storm kicks out. James Storm sips some beer and spits it in RVD’s face. Referee Earl Hebner didn’t see the beer. Storm stomps to signal the superkick. RVD. kicks Storm in the face. RVD gets on top of the corner and performs the flog splash. He pins Storm and wins the match. This was a great physical match and a good choice as opening match.

Steel Cage Match
The Motor City Machine Guns vs. Brian Kendrick & Homicide

The tag teams didn’t waste anytime getting at each other. Shelley and Sabin were dominating at the beginning of the match. Brian Kendrick’s forehead was opened up early on. He kept punching Shelley in the gut as he was put over upside down. Homicide climbed up the cage and won the match. Wow. What a short match. It definitely could have been better with the talent they had in the match.

Steel Cage Match
Kevin Nash vs. Eric Young

I missed the beginning of the Nash vs. Young match. Big Sexy defeated Eric Young. Nuff said.

X Championship Steel Cage Match
Kazarian vs. Shannon Moore & Homicide

This match probably made the best use of the steel cage so far. There were a few highlights of the match. Homicide made the double cutter off of the top rope with Kazarian and Moore on each arm. Homicide was taking on both Kazarian and Moore. Kazarian and Moore fought on top of the top rope. Question…What is Shannon Moore’s gimmick. I know he is into the punk thing, but I’m definitely not feeling it. In the end, Kazarian won the match. However, I wasn’t feeling the match.

Steel Cage Match
Team 3D vs Scott Hall & Kevin Nash
Team 3D attack Nash and Hall as they walk down the ring. Bubba Ray flips Nash over onto the ramp. Devon fights Nash on the rail. Brother Ray takes Hall into the rail near the crowd. Ray and Devon take Hall and Nash to fight within the crowd of TNA fans. Ray does a crotch chop on Hall and dives in with his elbow on Hall. Devon takes Nash back near the steel cage area. Hall and Nash make a comeback. Nash gives a big boot to Ray’s face. Hall and Nash get Team 3D into the ring. Nash and Hall work on Devon. Brother Ray is down and out on the concrete outside. Nash closes the door to work on Devin some more. Brother Ray tries to get into the cage and is frantic circling the cage. He tries to find a way to get himself inside the cage. Brother Ray gets a steel cage and throws it toward Nash. The door opens up and Brother Ray gets into the Cage. He gives it to Hall and Nash. Devon works on Nash. Ray works on Hall. Devon gets on top of the corner top rope and drives right into Hall’s crotch. The TNA crowd is cheering chanting “Get the tables!” Team 3D bring out the tables and put Nash though. Devin makes a pin and Team 3D win the match.

Steel Cage Match
Kurt Angle vs. Mr. Anderson

Anderson dominates Kurt Angle at the beginning of this match. Her attempts to open the cage door with his key and Kurt Angle gains the advantage in the situation. Angle puts Anderson into the cornerand gives him a few kicks. Kurt looks over at the pad lock that still has the key in it. Kurt suplexes Anderson. Mr. Anderson slams Angle toward the side ofthe cage. Kurt Angle is bleeding from the head. Wow. I didn’t expect to see so much blood in this PPV. Anderson slams Angles head into the steel a few times as blood spews out. Angle is defenseless on the ring canvas. Anderson drops the elbow on Angle and a leg drop. He heads over to the cage door, but Kurt gets up fast to throw a few punches. Angle is slammed against the side of the cage once more. Anderson attempts the pile driver, but Kurt counters. The key is shown still in the padlock. Anderson gets on top of the corner rope. Angle climbs up and does a german suplex from the top rope. The two men are lying in the middle of the ring. Anderson is unraveling the tape from his wrist and uses it to choke Kurt Angle. Watching Anderson choke Angle makes me a little uncomfortable. This seems a little too real. Angle almost passes out, but some how gets up with help from the crowd. Angle finally counters and suplexes Anderson.
Angle and Anderson exchange blows. Angle flips Anderson over and then throws him into a corner. Anderson kicks Angle and Angle counters. Angle suplexes Anderson a few times. Angle walks over to the door and stared at the padlock. He wen back to Anderson and gave him the ankle lock. Anderson gets free and opens the door. Angle slams Anderson and closes the door. He’s not done with Anderson. Kurt throws the key into the crowd and Anderson cannot believe he is trapped.Anderson tries to climb out, but Angle climbs up and performs a german suplex from the top rope. Anderson is knocked out. The crowd is chanting “This is awesome!” Angle climbs up one more time and performs a moonsault from the top of the cage. The crowd chants “Holy Shit!” Hoy shit, indeed. Kurt unlocks the cage door about to walk out. Ken Anderson gives Kurt Angle the double bird. Angle goes back, but Anderson slams the gold medalist on the ring canvas. Anderson crawls toward the open door. Angle crawls toward Anderson and drags him back into the ring for the ankle lock. Ken Anderson is tapping lick crazy.

Ken Anderson attempts to slither out of the cage, but Angle wraps the chain around his neck to choke him. Ken Anderson passes out. Angle spits on him and walks out a winner. He then announces that he taking some time out. Wow. Wow. This was a great match. Kudos to Angle and Anderson.

TNA World Heavyweight Championship Steel Cage Match
“The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero vs. “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles (c)

Referee Earl Hebner orders Rick Flair to the back and AJ Styles is pissed off about it. This match ended up being 13 minutes long. This was a good match with a lot of good energy from the crowd. Styles worked on Pope’s left knee in the beginning. He attempted a springboard inverted DDT, but Pope countered by slamming AJ against the side of the cage. As the match went on, Styles and Pope had a pretty decent back and forth. Styles nailed a beautiful springboard 450 splash and went for a pin with no success. Styles was shocked. Later on, the Pope hit Styles with the codebreaker and  then for the pin. Styles kick out at the two count. The Pope went for the flying knee towards AJ, but the champion moved causing him to crash into the turnbuckle. Styles attacked The Pope by stabbing him in the face. He set up the styles clash and went for the pin. AJ Styles retains the World Heavyweight Championship.

Lethal Lockdown Steel Cage Match

Team Hogan: Abyss (captain), Jeff Jarrett, Jeff Hardy & Rob Van Dam vs. Team Flair: Sting (captain), Desmond Wolfe, Beer Money (James Storm & Robert Roode)
Roode vs. Abyss.
RVD walks calmly in to the match. Yeah, sure. There’s no urgency. The pace picks  when Van Dam throws Roode into the corner and kicks him in the gut. RVD rolls Roode into a monkey flip and a rolling thunder.

Enter Desmond Wolfe accompanied by Chelsea.
Roode works on RVD. Wolfe works on Abyss. Team Flair seems to have the upper hans. Wolfe and Roode work on RVD. They throw Abyss against the side of the cage.

Jeff Jarrett comes into the match hitting anything that moved. He smashes Roode and Wolfe heads together and then throwing them against the steel cage. Roode counters by catapuling Jarrett against the steel cage. Wolfe attempts to steel the hall of fame ring from Abyss. James Storm walks in looking physically defeated from the opening match. He puts down a beer before entering the cage. He spits alcohol into Abyss’s face to blind him and then goes to work on RVD. Jarrett lifts Roode up and keeps him upside down to let the blood rush to his head before slamming him down.

Jeff Hardy’s Music hits, but he doesn’t appear. Backstage, Sting hovers over Hardys body with a bat in his hand. Jeff Hardy is eliminated.

Sting enters with a baseball bat in hand. The weapons are lowered into the ring.

As the match goes on, there is chaos. Abyss gets some thumbs tacs and tries to chokeslam Sting. He is unsuccessful and Beer Money attack Abyss from behind.

Enter Jeff Hardy. He brings a kendo stick with him and attacks Beer Money, Inc. RVD gets on top of the corner rope and does a frog slash on Desmond Wolfe. Abyss finally chokeslams Sting on the thumb tacs. Hardy climbs to the top of the cage. He challenges Beer Money to climb on top the cage. They climb up and Hardy greets them with a trash can lid. Storm grabs the lid and hits Hardy. They grab a table that is lying around on top of the cage. Hardy kicks Storm in the nuts and continues using the kendo stick. Twist of fate on storm and lays Roode on top of the table. Jeff grabs a ladder, climbs on top, and a swantom bomb on top of Roode.

Rick Flair runs into the match and beats up Abyss. He attempts to steel the hall of fame ring from the hand of Abyss. Hulk Hogan enters into the steel cage with a baseball bat. Eric Bischoff comes in to calm Hogan down. He gives Hogan some bras knuckles and Hogan goes to town on Flair. He opens him up with blood spewing all over him. Flair is furious. He takes of his t-shirt. Hogan gives him a few punches and Flair falls into the thumb tacs. Abyss pins Wolfe. Team Hogan win the match.

This PPV had its good moment. I enjoyed Anderson vs. Angle. However, I will not call this a great PPV. I felt the last match would have been great if Bischoff followed up with a heel turn. I was a little disappointed that Bischoff handed Hogan the brass knuckles and then the match is over. I guess I was expecting a heel turn and creative decided to do something different. Another point that needs to be made is about the amount of blood that was spilled. I guess it was cool during the attitude era. Now its a little bit annoying to see it every single match. Tone it down, please!

Notes: The Pope is pimpin’! D’Angelo Dinero came out ballin’ to the center of the four corner ring to address the crowd about his win at “Against All Odds”. He spoke about going all the way to becoming the new World Heavyweight Champion. He said that AJ would have be as good as “The Pope”. He made fun of Ric Flair by calling him Dick Flair. Both Flair and AJ Styles came out with a bunch of their bitches. (Hey! Where are “The Pope’s” bitches at?) Rick Flair asked Dinero if her knew how to read or write. He opened his jacket for Dinero to read “Armani” and unless “The Pope” was Jordan or Tiger Woods, he couldn’t tell him nothing. “The Pope” didn’t seem to care about Flair’s Armani suit and called him a piece of crap. AJ gets on the mic all fired up and tells Dinero that he has still to see with him with a woman. AJ and Dinero get into a brawl. Flair goes behind Dinero to pin him down as Styles puts him into the figure four.

Daffney went ape shit in her match against Tara. She threw almost every inanimate object around the ring at the former WWE Diva. Tara ended up under one of the barricades, being hit with a steel chair. Dr. Stevie came out to tame his little patient.

Orlando Jordan came out wearing a bad looking robe, bad hair, and with two supporters (one woman, one man). I guess that Orlando Jordan has this new “I’m a bisexual” gimmick. That should be good since Jordan has nothing else going for him.

Kazarian came out without his Suicide gimmick. He teamed up with Amazing Red and Generation ME (I hate that name). Kazarian came out on top in the end when he pinned Doug Williams.

Abyss, as a scared little monster, came into the ring unready to fight Jeff Jarrett. Eric Bischoff gave Jarrett a barbed wired bat to use on Abyss. It was a good thing for Abyss that Jarrett didn’t use the bat out of the kindness of his heart. Afterward, Bischoff came into the ring to scold Abyss and to unmask him. Hulk Hogan came into save the day. He asked Abyss to get his ass into his office and scolded Bischoff.

Backstage, Hulk Hogan asked Abyss to stop being such a pussy foot and start being a monster. Yes! Thank you Hulk Hogan. That is just what we need. Hogan gave Abyss his Hall of Fame ring to give him a boost of confidence. Well, I’m sure Vince won’t like that very much.

Kurt Angle defeated Daniels in a very short amount of time with the ankle lock. After the match, Kurt Angle shed a few tears over the troubles that he has encountered the past year. He described a dog tag that was given to him by a soldier who said that he believed in him. Mr. Anderson had used that tag to make him bleed and in consequence made America bleed. Mr. Anderson spat on that tag and as a result spat on America. The iMPACT! zone filled with boos. Mr. Anderson came out to counter with a brillant promo. He made fun of Angle’s tears and said that he liked to make Angle bleed. He kicks Angle and welcomes him to Total Non-stop Angle.

Kevin Nash, with Eric Young, to settle this Waltman and Hall situation. Nash calls out Sean Waltman and Scott Hall. A brawl ensues with Nash fighting Hall and Young fighting Waltman. Hulk Hogan walks out to the ramp to look at the situation in the ring.

So this episode of iMPACT! had some good points. I enjoyed the opening promo featuring “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero. I enjoyed Mr. Anderson’s promo near the end of the episode, also. The Nash/Waltman/Hall/Hogan situation is confusing and tiring.

• TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match
  “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles (c) defeated Daniels

Notes: TNA Final Resolution opened up with the devastating loss of The Motor City Machine Guns. They went all out and it seemed throughout the match that they were very close to capturing the Tag Team Championship. The Guns did great double-team work throughout the match like the missle drop-kick on British Invasion member, Doug Williams. However, The British Invasion came back with their own double team moves on Sabin with Magnus going for the cover and win. This was a great match, but I am kind of peeved that The Guns have lost…once again.

The TNA Knockout Championship was a short match ending with Tara rolling up ODB for the pin. The match lasted about five minutes. Tara put ODB into the tarantula hold. ODB broke free and dominated Tara a short while. Tara countered with a standing moonsault and reached for a cover, but only getting a two count. ODB went for the widows peak, Tara countered and rolled her up for a full three count. Christy Hemme interviewed Tara who said that this was a career highlight. ODB looked at Tara in anger and frustration over her loss.

Feast or Fired was rather interesting. Somoa Joe walked away with a TNA Heavyweight Championship Match. Kevin Nash has a shot at the Tag Team Titles. Sheik Abdul Bashir was unlucky enough to have the briefcase with a pink slip. He walked away very unhappy. Rob Terry was left with an X-Division title shot.

Things were not looking good for Team Matt Morgan as they were dominated by Team 3D, Rhino, & Jesse Neal. Hernandez got disqualified by cracking a steel chair to Jesse Neal’s skull. “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero and Matt Morgan were left to fend for themselves. Dinero did very well for quite some time, using elbow smashes on Team 3D. They fought back and pinned D’Angelo. Matt Morgan was the last man standing against Team 3D. They got Matt Morgan into a corner and beat him down. Matt Morgan fought back and pinned Brother Devon. Brother Ray got a steel chair, but Morgan ran and kicked Ray in the face with the chair. Morgan covered Ray for a full three count and scoring a win for his team.

Bobby Lashley stood victorious over Scott Steiner in a Last Man Standing match. With the help of his wife Krystal, Lashley used a steel pipe to blast Steiner and leave him unconscious. This was the least interesting match of the evening.

The challenge match turned into a Foley’s Funhouse Match. It was a full out hardcore match that involved barbed wire and the return of Mr. Socko. Abyss and Mick Foley destroyed Dr. Stevie and Raven. They fought in the ring and took it to the stage area. Foley wrapped barbed wire around Dr. Stevie and placed him on a table. Foley dove off the stage, smashing the table in two. Abyss gets Dr. Stevie and drops him with a black hole slam. He covers Dr. Stevie and gets a full three count.

Desmond Wolfe vs. Kurt Angle was the match that I had been waiting for. It is no secret that I am a mark for Desmond Wolfe. He was absolutely great in this match, but it wasn’t enough for a win. Wolfe took the first fall by utilizing the tower of London on Angle and covering him for a full three count. The second count was submission. Wolfe attempted the ankle lock with no success. He put Angle into the shoulder armbar. The crowd chanted “This is wrestling throughout the match”. Angle countered with the ankle lock and Wolfe tapped out. Angle took the second fall. The third fall was escaping the six sides of steel. Angle put Wolfe into the ankle lock once more. Wolfe kept tapping the mat, but it did not count. Wolfe was busted open after a long battle. Angle let go of Wolfe and climbed up the cage. Wolfe saw what was happening and tried to crawl through the cage door. Angle got over the cage and dropped down for the win. This was a great match that lasted a good thirty minutes. However, I am disappointed that Desmond Wolfe lost. He lost the last PPV match against Angle. So, I was expecting a win this time.

AJ Styles vs. Daniels was the icing on the cake. Daniels wrestled with desperation and grew increasingly frustrated after covering Styles with only a two count. Styles put Daniels through the styles clash and covered him. Daniels kicked out after the two count. Daniels attempted the Frankensteiner, but Styles reversed it with the styles clash from the top rope. Styles covers Daniels and wins the match. This was a very entertaining match that got the crowd very riled up. At one point, the crowd chanted “Fallen Asshole”. Eventually Somoa Joe will be getting involved with the ROH Heavyweight Championship hunt and I will be looking forward to watching another Joe vs. Styles vs. Daniels.

This was a very entertaining PPV. Keep it going TNA.

Notes: iMPACT! opened up with a pissed of Mick Foley making a b-line to Kevin Nash. He attacked Nash from behind, who was sitting at the announcers desk. Foley punched Nash a few times and then threw him into the railing. The World Elite got involved to hold back Foley. I didn’t completely understand the beginning, but hopefully things will be better explained later on.

Roxie made her return to TNA iMPACT! looking damn good and defeating the Knockout Champion, ODB. She went back and forth with ODB and the match seemed pretty equal. ODB was about to use her flask that she took from her bra, until the ref distracted her for a moment. Roxie took advantage and rolled up ODB for the pin. ODB didn’t take the loss well and attacked Roxie with her…flask. This knocked Roxie out. Tara ran into the ring to save Roxie. This was a good match and I found the end to be pretty funny.

Footage was shown of Mick Foley’s search for Hulk Hogan. Mick drives through the gate of a big mansion. Cut to Mick waiting for Hulk Hogan inside of a home gym. Lou “Hulk” Ferrigno walks in ready to talk TNA business. Foley asks Ferrigno if he is in to sit for “Hulk”. Ferrigno replies that he is “The Hulk”! Duh! Foley is upset and storms out of the gym. Poor Mick! This explains his actions of attacking Nash earlier.

Kevin Nash seemed pretty pissed off that Mick had attacked him. He said that Mick shouldn’t have done that and now he is considered a dead man. He plugged Jan. 4 and Hulk Hogan’s return. Great promo.

Enter Jeff Jarrett in Mick Foley’s office. Jarrett was screaming at the top of his lungs on why he should be in the iMPACT! zone in the first place. Mick replied that deep down Jarrett wants to be there. Jarrett asked why. Mick responded by bringing the fact that in the long run, this was good for his three daughters. People respected Jarrett and he needed to set things straight.

The Desmond Wolfe vs. Daniels match lasted over ten minutes and ended in a draw. This was a great match where both sides were equals.

Jeff Jarret confronted Dixie Carter about coming back to TNA. Dixie turned it around saying that Jarrett betrayed her when he started sleeping around with Kurt Angle’s wife. Ouch! Jarrett understood. Dixie added that he had to take it up with Kurt Angle. Jarrett agreed. Well, I feel like this is getting really good.

TNA iMPACT! ended in a confusing way. The last match was supposed to be a ten-men tag match, but it turned into something else…minus Abyss, Scott Steiner, Bobby Lashley, Raven, Dr. Stevie, & Beer Money, Inc….plus The British Invasion? Huh? How did they get in there? By the end, Tomko helped AJ pick up the win for the team. That was confusing, because I had thought that Tomko was AJ’s attacker. Then Desmond Wolfe comes out to attack Kurt Angle and Daniels power bombs AJ Styles. Both men stand in the middle of the six sided ring in triumph.

This was a decent episode of iMPACT! There were a lot of moments that confused me, but at this point I have stopped trying to understand.

Notes: Desmond Wolfe stood in the middle of the six sides of steel to taunt Kurt Angle. He said that beating some one meant torturing a person physically and mentally that is what he did to Kurt last week when he spat in his face. Desmond claimed that he kept Angle from the title, as well. At Final Resolution, Desmond declared himself the victor of the six sides of steel match. Kurt Angle comes out in his wrestling gear ready to fight Desmond. He tries to break through into the cage, but it is locked. Once Angle gets in, he and Desmond go on a back and forth. Desmond reaches for his brass knuckles and dominates Angle. Desmond Wolfe’s promo was great. He spoke really well and this segment established him as a dominant heel in TNA. I am really enjoying the Wolfe/Angle feud and it is probably the best feud going on in TNA today.

Before the opening match, the referee kicked out The British Invasion and Chris Sabin from ringside to prevent them from interfering. It seemed that the referee’s decision ruled in Alex Shelley’s favor. He won over Doug Williams with the slice bread #2. Great match.

Jeremy Borash and Mick Foley filmed a few promos obsessing over Hulk Hogan’s debut…I mean Foley obsessing over Hogan. Is this the best that TNA can do to hype up Hogan? D’Lo Brown appeared to answer some of Foley’s inquiries. D’Lo Brown apparently is a trainer for the young guys and said that Hogan was on level. What is that suppose to mean? At least it was good to see D’Lo Brown on television again.

Suicide defeated Homicide with a backslide. Homicide was not pleased with his loss and took it out on his opponent after the match. He attempted to rip off Suicide’s mask in which he was successful in showing half of his face. “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero got involved to protect Suicide and fend off Homicide. Dinero offers his hand in friendship, but Suicide leaved the ring skeptical.

Trash Talk w/ ODB turned into shoot time with Tara. The #1 Knockout Championship contender extended her hand in respect to ODB and said that she was looking forward to facing her at Final Resolution. ODB told her to cut the crap and be a straight shooter. She complained that since Tara was a WWE Diva, she could just waltz right in and be the top gal. ODB said that the Knockouts have been building this division for seven years. Tara replied that she broke her contract with the WWE so she could be a knockout. She was sick of being a joke and a trainer to all those blond bimbos. Ouch! ODB got up and said she was sorry in a mocking way. ODB slaps Tara in the face and they go into a brawl.

Jesse Neal wasn’t so impressive in his match against “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero. The street preacher defeated the young mohawk man in two minutes. Neal was so upset over it, he attacked Dinero after the match. Suicide came out to help Dinero and offered him his hand in solidarity. The Team 3D decided to get involved and slid into the ring to interrupt the new partnership. Matt Morgan and Hernandez came in afterward and stood tall in the middle of the ring with their newly assembled group.

Eric Young gains a win over Roode after giving him the piledriver with the help of Nash who helped to distract the ref from the match. Mick Foley came out after the match and asked about Hogan. Nash joked with Mick and teased him by saying that Hogan wasn’t coming alone. Arrgggghhhh! Enough already!

Cristal accompanied her husband, Bobby Lashley to the ring. She also spoke for him which was good. Oh! She also made some facial expressions as well which was good. Cristal directed her message to Steiner. She said that he was sick, delusional, and obsessed. All she wanted to do was to support her husband and not to be harassed by some sick weirdo. She said that that would never happen at any of her husband’s MMA matches. Cristal ended her promo by saying that she may bark, but her husband will take a big bite out of him for lunch. Great promo. More Cristal and less of Bobby Lashley attempting emotion.

Daniels had the upper hand in his match against Abyss. Earlier he requested the help of The Beautiful People to harass Lauren. The video appeared on the titan tron and caught the attention of Abyss. Daniels took advantage of Abyss loss of focus and gave him the low blow. Daniels rolled up Abyss and won the match. Afterward, Daniels tried to get attention by provoking AJ Styles who was sitting at the commentary booth. AJ got up to face Daniels when he was attacked from behind by a guy dressed like a ninja.

Dr. Stevie and Raven got Kurt Angle into a corner. The dominated for awhile until Kurt came back with the German suplexes. Dr. Stevie is clotheslined out of the ring and seemed ready to leave. On the way out, Abyss met him for a beat down. Raven is distracted by the scene and is rolled up for the ankle lock. He taps out immediately. Kurt Angle celebrates shortly when Desmond Wolfe attacks him fro behind.
