Notes: TNA Final Resolution opened up with the devastating loss of The Motor City Machine Guns. They went all out and it seemed throughout the match that they were very close to capturing the Tag Team Championship. The Guns did great double-team work throughout the match like the missle drop-kick on British Invasion member, Doug Williams. However, The British Invasion came back with their own double team moves on Sabin with Magnus going for the cover and win. This was a great match, but I am kind of peeved that The Guns have lost…once again.

The TNA Knockout Championship was a short match ending with Tara rolling up ODB for the pin. The match lasted about five minutes. Tara put ODB into the tarantula hold. ODB broke free and dominated Tara a short while. Tara countered with a standing moonsault and reached for a cover, but only getting a two count. ODB went for the widows peak, Tara countered and rolled her up for a full three count. Christy Hemme interviewed Tara who said that this was a career highlight. ODB looked at Tara in anger and frustration over her loss.

Feast or Fired was rather interesting. Somoa Joe walked away with a TNA Heavyweight Championship Match. Kevin Nash has a shot at the Tag Team Titles. Sheik Abdul Bashir was unlucky enough to have the briefcase with a pink slip. He walked away very unhappy. Rob Terry was left with an X-Division title shot.

Things were not looking good for Team Matt Morgan as they were dominated by Team 3D, Rhino, & Jesse Neal. Hernandez got disqualified by cracking a steel chair to Jesse Neal’s skull. “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero and Matt Morgan were left to fend for themselves. Dinero did very well for quite some time, using elbow smashes on Team 3D. They fought back and pinned D’Angelo. Matt Morgan was the last man standing against Team 3D. They got Matt Morgan into a corner and beat him down. Matt Morgan fought back and pinned Brother Devon. Brother Ray got a steel chair, but Morgan ran and kicked Ray in the face with the chair. Morgan covered Ray for a full three count and scoring a win for his team.

Bobby Lashley stood victorious over Scott Steiner in a Last Man Standing match. With the help of his wife Krystal, Lashley used a steel pipe to blast Steiner and leave him unconscious. This was the least interesting match of the evening.

The challenge match turned into a Foley’s Funhouse Match. It was a full out hardcore match that involved barbed wire and the return of Mr. Socko. Abyss and Mick Foley destroyed Dr. Stevie and Raven. They fought in the ring and took it to the stage area. Foley wrapped barbed wire around Dr. Stevie and placed him on a table. Foley dove off the stage, smashing the table in two. Abyss gets Dr. Stevie and drops him with a black hole slam. He covers Dr. Stevie and gets a full three count.

Desmond Wolfe vs. Kurt Angle was the match that I had been waiting for. It is no secret that I am a mark for Desmond Wolfe. He was absolutely great in this match, but it wasn’t enough for a win. Wolfe took the first fall by utilizing the tower of London on Angle and covering him for a full three count. The second count was submission. Wolfe attempted the ankle lock with no success. He put Angle into the shoulder armbar. The crowd chanted “This is wrestling throughout the match”. Angle countered with the ankle lock and Wolfe tapped out. Angle took the second fall. The third fall was escaping the six sides of steel. Angle put Wolfe into the ankle lock once more. Wolfe kept tapping the mat, but it did not count. Wolfe was busted open after a long battle. Angle let go of Wolfe and climbed up the cage. Wolfe saw what was happening and tried to crawl through the cage door. Angle got over the cage and dropped down for the win. This was a great match that lasted a good thirty minutes. However, I am disappointed that Desmond Wolfe lost. He lost the last PPV match against Angle. So, I was expecting a win this time.

AJ Styles vs. Daniels was the icing on the cake. Daniels wrestled with desperation and grew increasingly frustrated after covering Styles with only a two count. Styles put Daniels through the styles clash and covered him. Daniels kicked out after the two count. Daniels attempted the Frankensteiner, but Styles reversed it with the styles clash from the top rope. Styles covers Daniels and wins the match. This was a very entertaining match that got the crowd very riled up. At one point, the crowd chanted “Fallen Asshole”. Eventually Somoa Joe will be getting involved with the ROH Heavyweight Championship hunt and I will be looking forward to watching another Joe vs. Styles vs. Daniels.

This was a very entertaining PPV. Keep it going TNA.

Notes: Kevin Nash was in charge of the iMPACT! zone after giving Mick Foley a meeting with Hulk Hogan he so desired. Kevin Nash and Eric Young came out into the iMPACT! zone to announce the matches for the night. Nash and Young seemed to enjoy their position of power and their time in the ring was short and to the point.

Cut to a vignette featuring Mick Foley in the Nashville offices of TNA iMPACT! looking for Dixie Carter. He runs into a guy working in TNA who was close to Jeff Jarrett. He says that Mick can look for Jarrett at a place called Meat for 3. The Foley-Jarrett Summit is to be continued…

Chris Sabin defended himself against all three members of The British Invasion. Sabin held his own as he tornadoed and pulled a roll up pin on Rob Terry. The British Invasion seemed disappointed and embarrassed by their loss.

Bobby Lashley did most of the work during the inter-gender match against Scott Steiner and Awesome Kong. He tried to dominate over Steiner as Kong looked ant-sy in the corner. Steiner was able to get Bobby out of the way and went after Mrs. Lashley. He cornered her into the power of Awesome Kong, who crushed her unconscious and went to the top rope to finish her. Scott Steiner gets a little greedy and covers Krystal by going on top of her in a sexual manner and goes for the pin.

Eric Young defeated Hamada in a good match for the Global Championship. Hamada held her own a gained support from the TNA crowd. She delivered a spinning heel kick to Eric Young, leaving him dazed. They take the fight on the outside of the ring. Young fought back, but Hamada countered with a leaping kick. She goes for a moonsault, but however Eric Young takes advantage and pins her with his feet on the ropes.

Mick Foley gets lost and visits a place on the side of a highway. Foley stumbles upon Jarrett by accident…dom..dom…dom..to be continued…

Tara and ODB fought drunk and looking like their going to puke any minute. ODB made good use of a small two step ladder by making a small Hornswoggle-like frog splash. She pins Tara, but Tara kicks out by two. ODB dominates and chokes Tara with a tiki torch…where did that come from? Tara counters, by flipping ODB. They both grab a trash can and start wacking away. Eventually, ODB grabs a chain and chokes Tara out with it and then a facebuster. ODB wins a entertaining match.

Back to Mick Foley/ Jeff Jarret summit. Foley sits down with Jarrett and asks him to come back to TNA. Jarrett mentioned that he had gone through hell in the past five months and won’t go back because of Dixie…to be continued…

Velvet Sky defeated Lacey Von Erich in a mud wrestling match I didn’t care much for.

AJ Styles defended his title against Desmond Wolfe who was the highest bidder for the challenger role. The match was practically nothing. It lasted about five minutes and I would have preferred to see these two performers wrestle a bit longer. Daniels got into the mix by distracting Wolfe. AJ takes advantage by rolling up Desmond and pinning him with a bridge to three.

TNA iMPACT! ends with Jeff Jarrett agreeing to come back next week and meet with Dixie Carter. Jarrett and Foley shake hands and the segment ends.

This episode of iMPACT! was OK. The search for Jarrett was a bit Stone Cold-esque, but I liked it. I enjoyed watching Tara vs. ODB and I think it was the highlight of iMPACT!

Notes: Turning Point 2009 kicked off with Amazing Red defending his X Division title against Homicide. I enjoyed the watching Amazing Red move in an amazing way. Near the end of the match, he did a running shooting star press and I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it. Red tried to follow it up with a moonsault from the top rope, but Homicide took advantage and turned it into a cutter. Homicide attempted the huracanrana, but Red was able to get into the Code Red and go for the win.

ODB dominated the match and pinned Madison Rayne for the win. This wasn’t a great match and it wasn’t a good PPV debut for Lacey Von Erich. The fans taunted her for her lack luster wrestling skills.

Eric Young and Kevin Nash got involved with the TNA Tag Team Championship match. Beer Money, Inc. was dominating over The British Invasion was close to clinching the titles. Young walked down the ramp and to ringside to yank Storm from the ring. Then, Kevin Nash showed up and grabbed the Global championship away from Young. He smashed the title on Storm’s cranium on purpose. Young seemed surprised by the action. Nash walked away. The British Invasion took advantage of the situation and double-clotheslined Roode. The British Invasion picked up another win.

The six sides of steel cage match was great. Awesome Kong smashed Tara’s head against the steel side of the cage using her entire body. Ouch! However, Tara fought back. She powerbombed Kong from the top rope. Then, Tara climbed to the top of the cage and did a crossbody on Kong. Tara went for the pin and won the match. This was an amazing match by the way that the two women were no hold barred. They did not hold back.

The thing I remember most about the six man tag match was “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero getting his ass handed to him by Brother Ray and Brother Devon. The match lasted about fifteen minutes. Near the end of the match, Dinero went for Matt Morgan for the hot tag. Morgan cleared the ring and tagged in Hernandez. Hernandez dominated as well and chokeslammed Brother Ray and attacked Rhino and went for a pin. He kicked out, but Morgan, Hernandez, and Dinero did some damage to Team 3D and Rhino. Morgan chokeslammed Ray, as well. Rhino intervened and dropped Morgan to the floor. Dinero powerbombed Rhino. Devon grabbed a chair and hit Hernandez in the gut. Rhino took advantage and gored Hernandez and went for the win. This was a solid match.

The grudge match between Lashley and Steiner moved from the ring to backstage. They used all kinds of things lying around the studio. There was blood, sweat, and metal objects. Steiner was able to hit Lashley in the head with a lead pipe and win the match.

Kurt Angle vs. Desmond Wolfe was an amazing match. Angle pulled off six German suplexes in a row. Angle then tried to put the ankle lock on Desmond Wolfe. He looked as if he was going to tap out until he countered with a hammerlock. They way they worked in the ring was circular. Angle would make a move and Desmond would counter, then Angle would counter. Angle put the ankle lock a few times without success. He attempted to put Wolfe through a tombstone. Wolfe countered with a tombstone. Angle managed to get out and put the ankle lock on Wolfe once more. Wolfe tried his best to wiggle his way out, but with no success. Kurt Angle won the match via submission.

The three way match for the World Heavyweight Championship was simply awesome. This was probably the best three way match I’ve ever seen. Somoa Joe, Daniels, and AJ Styles knew how to work together and produce a good match. The match lasted about 24 minutes and ended with AJ pinning Somoa Joe. There were a few memorable moments. In the middle of the match Daniels managed to get AJ Styles in a Boston crab while having Somoa Joe in a camel crab at the same time. Near the end of the match, Joe put Styles into the boston crab. The ref counted to two when Joe transitioned Styles into the STF. Styles looked like he was about to tap until he slid his body around and put his foot on the bottom rope. It is hard choose my favorite moment. Their work flowed in the ring. This was a great way to end Turning Point.

Overall, this was a great PPV. Good job TNA!

Notes: AJ Styles came out to an excited crowd in the iMPACT! zone. He hyped Hulk Hogan’s signing to TNA and then hoped right into the issue of the mystery attacker. He called out the person who has been attacking him in the last few weeks, friend or foe. Daniels comes out to confront AJ about his wording. It seems that Daniels was upset with AJ about insinuating that he would attack his own friend. Daniels accused AJ of being cocky and getting everything in the company the easy way. He accused TNA of pushing AJ, while they pulled him down. Things were getting pretty tense between the two (former) friends, when Somoa Joe enters the picture. Joe pointed towards Daniels, saying that he has been playing AJ for their entire friendship. All this time, Daniels has been jealous of AJ. Joe explained that he never liked AJ, because AJ had something that he has always wanted. He said that he had no problem challenging AJ for the TNA World Title, because being the best in the world meant being the World Champion. Daniels snapped back at Somoa Joe and said that he had no problem challenging and beating AJ one-on-one, man to man. AJ looked at Daniels and said that if it were true that than why doesn’t he do it. This was a great opening segment  that built the feud between Daniels, Styles, and Somoa Joe.

It seemed that Eric Young and the puffed up Rob Terry messed up big time in their match against Beer Money, Inc. As they were biting it big time, Eric Young decided to use his Legends title belt as a weapon against Roode. Unfortunately, Roode moved out of the way and big Rob Terry bit the dust. Roode then took the opportunity to go for the pin and win the match. World Elite did not seem pleased with their loss.

Desmond Wolfe defeated Cody Deaner in about 4 seconds. Kurt Angle observed the match from home and called it…wait he called in? The segment was a bit weird with Kurt Angle’s voice chiming in. Desmond Wolfe put himself over a bit and called Kurt Angle names like Kurt “Mangled”. His promo was good, but it could have been great if Kurt Angle wasn’t chiming in with a walkie talkie.

Somoa Joe came out to the ring in the ref’s uniform and wearing purple latex gloves. Daniels came out after him. The camera cut to Jeremy Borash interviewing AJ Styles. Suddenly, a masked man in a black hoody attacked AJ Styles. Well, it was great for Jeremy Borash to stand their and watch this guy get beat up. Security came after the masked man ran away. Great timing for security miss an attacker. Meanwhile, in the ring, Daniels looked on with concern and tried to help his friend. However, Somoa Joe got in his way and attacked him.

Mick Foley came out to make peace with Abyss. Huh? What?! I had already accepted that Foley and Abyss were feuding over a broken picture, but now I’m supposed believe that Mick Foley provoked Abyss to see what he was made off. Foley said that he really didn’t mean what he said over the last few weeks about Abyss. In fact, he said it was painful to say things like Abyss is like a carbon copy of Mankind. He spent the promo putting over Abyss and gave him a picture of them both in the end. I’ll give Foley credit. He gave a good promo, because that is what he is good at. However, this was unusual. I cannot accept that their friends again. What was the point of the feud that took place a few weeks ago?

The ending of TNA iMPACT! was even more confusing. Rhino came in to interfere with the match with no success. Brother Ray took a steel chair and attacked Rhino. Eventually, Brother Ray was led backstage by Rhino and leaving his partner at the hands of Hernandez and Matt Morgan. A few minutes later, Brother Ray came back out and attacked Hernandez and Morgan with his steel chair. Afterward, Brother Ray had a confused look on his face. Rhino came out to hug Brother Ray, but he refused the embrace. Then, Rhino lifted Team 3D’s hands in victory. The last shot was of Brother Ray looking very confused. He’s confused? I’m confused. I didn’t understand anything. I understand if the creative team wanted to leave fans with a cliff hanger, but it was poorly done. Leaving fans confused is not a good thing.

This wasn’t a very good episode of TNA iMPACT! There were some good moment, but then there were some confusing moments. At least it was better than this week’s Monday Night Raw.

Notes: Kurt Angle kicked off TNA iMPACT! with a heart felt promo about the one year anniversary of The Main Event Mafia and his change of heart for the rest of the TNA titles. He spoke about the start of The MEM and how when he started lacing up his wrestling boots, he knew he would be the best. The MEM wasn’t about securing spots, but to wrestle with the best. Kurt admitted that when he first came to TNA, he thought that all the young wrestlers were a bunch of amateurs looking for a free handout. He admitted that he was wrong. Angle put over Eric Young, AJ Styles, and Matt Morgan for their amazing wrestling abilities and their passion for the business. The crowd in the iMPACT! zone cheered as it seems that Kurt Angle has turned face. Rhino came out to confront Kurt Angle. He said that Kurt didn’t need to give these guys credit. According to Rhino, Styles and Morgan have not earned a thing. He said that the office has been pushing AJ Styles, Bobby Lashley, and Matt Morgan, but they have not been behind himself and Angle. He asked Angle, “What about us?” Team 3D came out angered by Rhino’s action at Bound for Glory. Brother Ray had a bandage wrapped around his head. Rhino said that he interfered at Bound for Glory to get their attention. He said that TNA was set to replace Team 3D. Brother Ray called Rhino paranoid. A fight almost broke out between them, but Kurt Angle kept Team 3D back. This was a great opening promo and I think it will be interesting to see Kurt Angle has face again.

Scott Steiner harassed Bobby Lashley’s wife, Crystal, who was sitting ringside. Steiner came up to Crystal at the before the match to show her his muscles. Then during the match, he grabbed Crystal to force her to feel his muscles. Crystal fought him as best she could, until Bobby Lashley ran down the ramp to kick Steiner’s steroid butt! I think it is funny how Lashley had no emotion on his face as he was running down the ramp to protect his wife. He, also, had no emotion in his face as Lauren ambushed him for an interview. Crystal was visibly upset, but Bobby Lashley…nothing.

Kevin Nash demanded to see Eric Young after pinning Daniels in a tag team match. He said that Young owed him his title and sixty grand. Eric Young interupted Jeremy Borash’s promo and answered Nash’s call. He said that he wasn’t hard to find if Nash wanted to come and get him. Then he went on about World Elite being the most dominant group in TNA with Young having the Legends title and The British Invasion holding the TNA Tag Team Titles. Young teased an announcement to take place next week that would rock the foundations of TNA…or so we’re told. As he ended his promo, Young quoted Julius Ceasar. “Vini, Vidi, Vici.”

Desmond Wolf (aka Nigel McGuinness) walked up to Kurt Angle to tell him that he was inspired by him to become a professional wrestler. He introduced himself as Desmond Wolf (I hate the name) and that he admired Angle. Kurt Angle thanked him, but asked him for his name again. Desmond seemed a little bit off put by it, but repeated his crappy name. They shook hands. As Desmond was walking away, he went back to attack Angle.

At the end of the show, Kurt Angle came out to the iMPACT! zone in his full wrestling gear to call Desmond out. As he was searching for his opponent, Desmond attacked Angle from behind and really started doing damage to his neck. It seems that TNA is giving Nigel McGuinness a vey big push by having him take out their top guy. I am very happy for McGuinness and I think he will do great in TNA.

This was a great episode of TNA iMPACT! from beginning to end. Keep it going TNA.

Notes: TNA Bound for Glory 2009 kicked off with a great Ultimate X Championship Match. A few minutes into the match, Homicide got to the ropes and began inching his way toward the x division championship. I was almost as if no one noticed him and he was getting very close to becoming the X Division Champion. Suicide then climbed up and jumping and grabbing Homicide. They stayed to the ropes until the fell onto the mat. Neat the end of the match, Christopher Daniels, Suicide, and Amazing Red got on top of the steel X structure. Daniels and Suicide fought each other on top of the structure. They tried to slam each other with no success. There were a few times were they had to balance themselves from falling off. Then they slowly stepped onto the ropes to fight. Daniels sat on the x and the X Division strap to keep balance. Suicide and Daniels continued to fight and eventually they fell onto the mat with Daniels’s head falling first. It seemed brutal. Amazing Red grabbed the X Division Championship and celebrated with Don West in the ring. This was a great match. I hope that Daniels is OK.

Eric Young and Kevin Nash teamed up against Hernandez in the triple threat match for the Legends Championship. It seemed that Eric Young and Kevin Nash were on the same page. However, slowly they turned on each other. As Nash was about to put Hernandez on the powerbomb, Young pushed Hernandez’s head into Nash’s groin. Then Young went for the pin and became the new Legends Champion. I’m glad that Eric Young won and it furthers the tensions between MEM and WE. However, I don’t like how short this match was. It was about 8 or 9 minutes. This isn’t iMPACT! This is a PPV!

Booker T was injured early on in the match and had to be carried off on a stretcher with Sharmell at his side. I was disappointed with his exit and his injury seemed to be out of no where. Steiner was left to fend for himself with Team 3D, Beer Money, & The British Invasion taking advantage fo him. The ladder came out along with the tables. Team 3D made good use of the table by putting almost everyone into a table.
Rhino interfered in the tag team match with a steel chair aimed at Brother Devon. As Brother Devin captured the IWGP Tag Team Championship, he was hit with a steel chair and fell onto the mat where Rhino attacked him. Afterwards, The British Invasion gained the upper hand and won the TNA Tag Team Championship.

Raisha Saeed ruined Awesome Kong’s chances of becoming TNA Knockout Champion. As ODB kicked out of a pin, Awesome Kong became increasingly frustrated. Saeed got involved and slid a steel chair into the ring. Awesome Kong slid the chair back, demanding that she could finish ODB without it. Raisha Saeed slid it back to Kong, who then slid it to Saeed. Kong picked up ODB for a powerbomb. Then Saeed slid the chair into the ring, where it ended up at Kong’s feet. ODB got lose and shoved Kong’s face into the steel chair on the mat. ODB got on top of Kong and went for the pin. After the match, Saeed looked at the ring in shock at what she had done. This was a great match. There was even a run-in by Kim Couture ( I think it was her), who stole Poison the tarantula from ringside.

Bobby Lashley was obviously going to win this match. TNA wasn’t going to let him lose after building him up for so long. I was a little upset by the fact that they made Somoa Joe look weak compared to Lashley. “The Boss” Bobby Lashley choked Joe until he became unconscious. The referee decided to let Lashley have the win even though Joe didn’t tap out. Through out the match, the crowd was split. One half was chanting for Somoa Joe even though he is the heel in this match.

There was a big botch in the Mick Foley/ Abyss match. Abyss put Dr. Stevie (the referee) in a backbreaker. Then another referee came in to replace Dr. Stevie. However, when Mick Foley pinned Abyss, the ref went for the full 3 count and Abyss lifted his shoulder after the 3 count. The match wasn’t over even though Mick Foley just pinned Abyss with a 3 count. Abyss bled some, but what even crazier was that Daffney came down to the ring and gave Mick Foley a tazer. Mick Foley shocked Abyss with the tazer and there was smoke that was coming out of his flannel shirt! Daffney really ruined Abyss’s nerves, because she was choke slammed into the barbed wired boarded and left shaking. This could have been a good match if it wasn’t for the big botch.

Kurt Angle tried to put the ankle lock on Matt Morgan quite a few times. Matt Morgan kept kicking out each time except for the last. Morgan tapped out. After the match, Kurt offered to shake Morgan’s hands. Matt Morgan and Kurt Angle shook hands and lifted each others hands in victory. The fans cheered. This was a nice moment that caught me off guard. I kept expecting Angle to kick Morgan in the gut after shaking hands with him.

AJ Styles defeated Sting in an emotional match. Sting locked in the scorpion death lock on AJ Styles with no success. Styles refused to quit and gets out of the submission move. They trade blows, until AJ hits a springboard splash and then goes for the pin. After the match, AJ calls Sting back into the ring. AJ and Sting shook hands and exchanged a word or two. AJ took to the mic and declared that this was Sting’s home state and his spotlight. Sting disagreed and said it was AJ’s spotlight. Eventually, Sting took to the mic to speak the crowd who were chanting “Please don’t go!” Sting said that he wasn’t expecting to make a speech, but that it was AJ Styles’s night. If he was going to lose to anybody, he said he was glad to lose to a guy like AJ and to lose it at home. The crowd chanted “You still got it!” Sting continued to thank the fans and honestly said that he wasn’t sure if he was coming back.

I think that this was a good PPV. The opening match was great and I really enjoyed the Knockout Tag Team Championship Match. There were some low points like the big botch in the Foley/Abyss match. Overall, I was entertained very happy.
